When starting, 80 percent of the skills required to kiteboard are in controlling the kite. You need to learn to control your power source(the kite) before you can learn to ride the board successfully. These power kite packages will get you going quickly. They are also great fun to fly, provide a good workout, and are far more durable than kiteboarding kites.

Kiteboarding Warning - Mistakes made on kiteboarding kites carry very serious consequences and can injure you or damage the equipment. Mistakes made on power kites carry very little consequences. You need to practice with a power kite until controlling the kite is smooth and effortless. You want to establish muscle memory so that steering the kite requires no conscious effort.
