Sensitive Impeller(click on the picture to enlarge): The impeller on the Xplorer series is precisely balanced to provide instant and accurate readings of windspeed from the lightest breeze to hurricane-force winds. The impeller is magnetized, creating a magnetic field during rotation that is registered by the integrated sealed electronics to calculate windspeed. Bold LCD: The LCD is designed to be read easily from any angle with its large and bold font. Windspeed is displayed in the top segment in most modes, with a second measurement in the lower section. Icons show the mode and what measurement unit is used. The EL backlight, activated by a press of the button, is ideal for use in dim light.
